SEX Drug is Bad for Your Health - Expert Warns

Kenneth Azikwe, Jigawa state chairman of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Wednesday warned Nigerians against indiscriminate consumption of sex improvement medicines.

Azikwe advised the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse that many of the libido medications in seen around were not certified by the company.

"The libido drugs in circulation are not certified by NAFDAC and the description on them is in Chinese and other alien languages.

"Consumption of such drugs is harmful because its pharmaceutical composition could not be guaranteed," Azikwe said.

He further encouraged the public to stop patronising drug hawkers and self medication.

He claimed that the drugs from hawkers were fake, adulterated and dangerous which exposed people to health threats.

"Drug hawkers are death merchants, people should not patronise them", adding that the agency was sensitizing communities to the need to patronise registered patent medicine dealers.

He said, the agency has arrested 30 drug hawkers in Dutse and has intensified surveillance activities to check drug hawking in the state.
