Suraj Pancholi, late Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's boyfriend, was on Thursday sent to jail till June 27 by a Mumbai court. The 22-year-old aspiring actor was arrested on Monday after Jiah committed suicide by hanging herself at her Juhu residence.
His arrest was based on a six-page suicide note reportedly written by the 25-year-old actress, and her mother's Rabbiya Amin-Khan's statement to the police. Jiah's abortion report and 5 other love letters were also found that were exchanged between Jiah and Suraj.
The note written by the actress revealed that she was abused in the relationship. Suraj had admitted that he was in a live-in relationship with Jiah but denied abetting her suicide. The police is now verifying if the letter is genuine. Read the LETTER
